Due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, we are aware of the uncertainties surrounding your upcoming trip. We want to point out that your health is our priority and we do the best we can to keep you safe. This is the reason why Hluhluwe Bush Camp developed a hygiene and safety protocol for both our guests and the team.
This protocol is based on the advised requirements of the World Health Organisation and the South African governmental restrictions. This all without taking away the African hospitality.
Glamping
Our Luxurious Glamping tents are located privately in the middle of the bush which creates a safe and personal space for you.
Each tent has its own equipment, bedding, kitchen, and bathroom facilities which makes it perfect for social distancing. There is a 20m distance between each tent.
Check-in and check-out
We will still welcome you at our camp and guide you to the tent, but with a proper distance. We may be a bit more distant than normal, but if you need us we are more than happy to help. In case you’d like anything, just send us a WhatsApp and we will be there. We also test! You will only get tested with a payment.
Education of the Staff
Our staff has been educated on the health and safety standards specified by the government and the WHO (World Health Organization). They carry disinfected gel and wear face masks all the time. They will do anything to keep the camp sanitised and safe for you. Our staff also lives internally on the property. This lowers the risks of transmission as a result of traveling.
Common areas
We created a registration system for our common areas like the pool and playground. This way we prevent people from getting to close to one another (1,5-meter distance).
Our farmstall will be disinfected schematically and we provide disinfection bottles for you to use.
The Farmstall
We are still offering braai packages if they are ordered in advance. You can pick this up from the fridge in the farmstall. We handle all our products with care and under strict hygiene restrictions. This way we prevent the most as possible the spread of the virus.
The tents
Our tents get cleaned by our well-trained staff with special disinfection products. We offer laundry service if requested. We stay out of your tent as much as possible, only if you desire otherwise. Towels and bedding will be washed at a high temperature.
We providing a bottle of disinfection spray and disposable towels. This can be used to clean the surfaces of the attributes you get in contact with.
